Third. The building is a second year project, btw. You planning on doing a PhD now you've finished your Masters? Dr. Menzarse sounds quite good.

funnily enough I did actually apply for several, but got rejected. But I'm not bitter, they'll see, one day they'll be sorry, one day I'll rule the WORLD.
AAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHA
Ahem
Sorry, forgot myself for a moment.

Well, when you've put your white cat down and turned away from your multitude of TV screens...
Sorry to hear of UK uni's misguided decision there. I quite fancy the title Dr. Cakewalker but I'd have to be at uni for *counts* 10 or so years. Which is rather a long time. As it is, I feel a little out of place where I'm working. It's a group dedicated towards furthering UK (and world) innovation and most of the group members seem to have PhDs. We also have 13 Nobel Laureates. They're quite a brainy bunch, though they must have flaws somewhere otherwise they wouldn't employ me to fix the computers and do the website!

You try telling them that! I'm sure they're really nice people in person (I've only met my boss in the organisation so don't know), but I have to post the list of members on the net and some of them have qualifications that cover two lines.

One in particular has 65 honorary doctorates. Had she actually studied for all those she'd be at least 408. I haven't got any letters yet and architects tend to have BArch and RIBA after their names, which sounds silly.
Curiously enough, my sister's doing Biological Natural Sciences and she'll get a BA.

That is slightly perverse, don't quite figure out how that works.

No, neither do I. It's one of those weird Cambridge rules. One of my favourites was to do with exams. In the middle of an exam a couple of years ago a student called the invigilator over and asked him for a three course meal and a pint of ale. When the invigilator told him not to be an idiot and get on with his work the student got out a book of Cambridge regulations and pointed to an entry stating that all students in exams over a certain length were allowed to request a three course meal and a pint of ale. The invigilator went away and bought him a Big Mac and a Pepsi, which satisfied the student. The invigilator got the last laugh - several days later he went to the student and fined him five pounds for not wearing a sword into the exam room - apparently a rule from the same book.

I really am glad that there are more universities than just Oxford and Cambridge in this country. I'm not sure that we would survive the insanity produced by those two.

Far from it - we need those two to make the others look dull. They have a *whale* of a time there
nb. I've been told in the past that it should really be Cambridge and Imperial College, London, as it gets better results than Oxford, though that makes Impbridge (or Cambrial) which sounds silly
