We got home about 10.45, which wasn't too bad I suppose - well, counting out the half hour snail crawl at the back of a Metro on the road to Stoke (total cars in convoy behind said car: 9) and the unusual for a Sunday jam on the M6! So after six and a bit hours on the road, we got in, dumped the bags and promptly fell over!

We headed back up over the moorland roads and it was quiet. A stop off for some food at a nice country pub. It was about 8:30 by the time we got back, just in time to watch Palin before going to bed.
