h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

In the last few months I started D&D role-playing after deriding my other half for years about his strange hobby. I decided to give it a go after listening to some podcasts of a bunch of gamers who made it sound like fun (http://www.rpgmp3.com).
Whilst fun, be warned! This is another geeky hobby like comics and video games which can easily empty your piggy bank. Although I have resisted buying dozens of miniatures, the small figures which can be used in some games ("HOW much for the plastic dragon!*gulp*), I have been been swayed enough to buy a couple of sets of dice (pretty, shiny things, my precious...)
