The llamas were acting very curiously just now. First Tango would chase Scotty from one end of the pasture to the other; then Scotty would turn around and chase Tango back. Were it spring I would say their thoughts were turning towards love (even though they're both males) but it is thoroughly fall.
Perhaps they were spooked by gunfire too distant for me to hear. There are a couple of deer hunters in the hills just now.
Or perhaps, inscrutable animals that they are, they were simply trying to confuse me, in which case the succeeded perfectly.
