A Conversation for Unfinished Business of the Century

This has bugged me for some time now. The song "Spinning Wheel" as Sung By Blood Sweat and Tears, state "what goes up must come down, spinning wheel, got to go 'round. " This may have seemed true at one point in our development, however with large multistage rockets things no longer must come down. They may "fall" into other gravity wells, but not necessarily return to earth. So does this mean that spinning wheels do not have to "go 'round"?

Can't speak for everyone of course, but if my spinning wheel doesn't go round I don't get yarn.
