... and I missed it.
Apparently, Portsmouth got three points today. Given previous away form, it should probably be worth atleast ten, as their away record was appauling last year, and this year looks like much of the same.
According to the Press Association, it's an own goal, and not being there, I don't know whether it was a deserved three points or simply mana from heaven falling into the Alan Perrin 'Can I keep my job?' box.
Home to Birmingham City on the seventeenth. See all you north-stand types down there.
Tip for all you football punters out there.. If you are thinking of betting on a 0-0 draw, do not bet on 0-0, bet on 'No goalscorer' instead. In circumstances like the Everton vs Portsmouth game you will get paid out on 1-0 wins where an own-goal was scored, because own goals do not count for first-player-to-score bets. The payout is the same, but the chances of getting it are slightly greater. Should you make a fortune with this information, remember where you got it from...
