So, speculation over the past three weeks has been borne out. You should have put your money on it when it was 9/1. Here at Ladbrokes Central, the odds on Harry making a comeback shrunk from 9/1 down to something like 4/6 before we closed the book.

Anyway, perhaps he can turn around home games, which have been, shall we say, rather less than successful, given that "fortress fratton" has dropped it's prior image and turned into a joke.

Ladbrokes, who have already made an obscene profit from recent home games, should be trembling in their boots (if they had any, all I could get out of them were a couple of fan-heaters) at ths prospect.

Myself, I remain entirely open-minded. Deal with each game on it's merits. According to the fixture-o-meter, the next home game is West Bromwich Albion. This SHOULD be something that Pompey can win. With the right manager at the helm, $BIGNUM to nil sounds good, but 1-0 will do.

Now is a good time to mention that we (unlike some other high-street bookmaker currently making a move on my own shop turf, court decision pending, etc.) only pay 100/1 maximum for any correct score, be it 9-3 or 66134-1. Keep it sensible, OK?
