Maybe you should mention Phil and Joe's thing for Catherine... other than that, it's about as complete as I can see. I loved that show smiley - smiley

Seeing as I only had a very basic idea of the show to begin with, the artical clued me up. Phil hartman was a god of comedy, and a show built on him could not function without him.
The artical is tops, it covers all the necessary fields... And what's more it has inspired me to write an artical on a show called Frontline which appeared over here and was very similar to NewsRadio.
I give it.... four and a half spuds.

Good work TVF!

I confess, I don't know the show; but your enthusiasm for it is infectious. With Foley and Phil Hartman together, it must have been quite something. Those bone-headed network execs need their bumps felt (as people no longer say). Didn't they learn their lesson about shuffling time-slots from the death by disorientation of StarTrek?

p.s. I just remembered: Phil Hartman was from the patch of Earth where I now live... Brantford, Ontario.

Good job Frink.

After the Seinfeld and News Radio left there was no reason to watch NBC ever again. And, I haven't really... except if I'm in the room and somebody else is watching it, but I don't think that counts because I have no control over what is on the TV. It doesn't matter really...

Thanks everyone! The way NBC treated NewsRadio made me very sad, and it makes me even sadder to see how many people have never heard of it, even in the U.S. See how many NewsRadio web sites you can find - I dare you!

Luckily, they were able to make enough episodes to qualify for syndication before NBC pulled the plug.......

Hey Lance - let me know when your Frontline article is done. I'm curious about it.......

Sure. It may be some time (events IRL). Also, I'm finding it hard to get to my page lately. #%$@( thing won't load. Can anyone see if they hsve this problem too? (no, I'm not just trying to get people to my page smiley - smiley)

Your page loaded fine for me.....but I've had many problems with h2g2 in general the past few weeks. I think it just depends when you are on. Sometimes the pages take forever to load, sometimes my page loads without any forum entries or user pages, sometimes h2g2 is down completely.......I wonder if all the new users have anything to do with it - h2g2 is certainly a busier (and larger) place than it was a few months ago.

And if winning the "Frink Journal Response Award" doesn't get people to your page, I don't know what will.......

My people counter _has_ gone up since I won that most prestigious(spelling?) award. You may have noticed that I also linked back to you. I agree with you about the obstreperous nature of the H2G2 servers, wasn't there a message on the front page a few weeks ago they were changing servers?

Yeah, the server thing is a bit of a pain - the biggest reason I'm getting so many hits on my counter is the fact that I have to re-load my page every time it comes up without forum postings, etc.!

I've also had "access denied", I'm not sure by H2G2's server or ours, a couple of times too. It's pissing me off, but it won't become critical until I'm forced to use my own computer to log on.

Lance - I did notice the link back - thanks! Unfortunately, the link expires soon smiley - sadface (have to give others a chance too!)

Hypoman - I think everyone else has been having trouble because the system is overloaded. I saw a forum post from Mark or Jim (I forget) mentioning how busy the tech staff is with the huge number of hits h2g2 has been getting. However, you are personally having trouble because you have been hanging out in Frink's Drinks without a Rambling Misfits I.D. card.

All right then, Frink: for the opportunity to take off my blindfold (which is, admittedly, beginning to fall off) I will sell my soul to the Rambling Misfits...

I might have to sign on as a ball...smiley - bigeyes

It's OK, Lance, Shorty's the ball anyway!

I've volunteered, but I'm not sure what position I'm going to finish up in. Check the team list for any good suggestions!
