Well, goodness, no replies to my thoughts on people. Maybe it just wasn't exciting enough. So let's try something a bit more interesting...Nope, nothing, but I would like to encourage everyone to run out, but 'The Matrix' and come back to tell me what you think. Movie of the Year? Definately! Oscar contender? Get real! (When was the last time a sci fi movie won an oscar?!?) Also, try out the new NIN album, 'The Fragile'. Well worth your time if you like Trent Reznor, althoughit is more upbeat than the also fabulous 'The Downward Spiral'. That's it for now. I'm 'veclimpt'. Discuss amoungst yourselves.

Hey Gw7en! Welcome to H2G2 I lived in Denver for about 10 years, and I must say it is a great place to live. You might enjoy my article on the mountains of Denver:

Thanks for the welcome, and I will check out your bit on Denver! It really is a beautiful city, and has gotten even more so in the last few years. You'll have to come back for a visit sometime. You won't recognize LoDo!

If you haven't been to Black Hawk in the past few years, it's gotten kinda crowded, too. I did some work on a couple of the casinos a few years back, and was wondering if anyone had thoughts on those...
And what's up with the Pepsi Center Deal?

I haven't been to Black Hawk since mid-98, and it was already getting too crowded for me. As for the Pepsi Center, I honestly wish that I knew! Its gotten too insane of late to keep up with. It is my deepest, most profound hope that a clause about keeping the Avs in Denver for a soon-to-be-disclosed time is added to the contract, but it doesn't look like its going to work out that way... Oh well, we will enjoy them for as long as possible, won't we?

Pepsi Center is up and running, but Ascent sold it, the Nuggets and the Avs to some freak named... I can't remember! Anyway, they're having problems with the actual contract. Ascent wants the contract to include a clause saying that the Avs and Nuggets will stay in Denver for the next twenty years. The new owner doesn't want that because he wants to move the Avs. Its getting ugly...
