Eighty years of sea air has eroded the inscription on the beacon. Still some beautiful stone masonry though.

I included this one in the group because, though the object is man-made, its interaction with the weather made it part of the natural landscape over time. More cool patterns.

Another piece of proof that the proverb "nothing is written in stone" is incorrect.
(I have a picture somewhere from the interwebs where this proverb was carved into a boulder)

That is a fascinating perspective on an object that must be seen many times a day, but rarely studied... I find those 'g's particularly eyecatching
