I'm really sorry Troy, but this Entry does not meet our criteria for a piece for the Edited Guide.

As you've submitted two earlier pieces to Peer Review, last week, which were redirected to the Alternative Writing Workshop, I feel you haven't really grasped the intent of Peer Review. I've written a comment on your personal space, and offer you any help and advice you may need. Do please ask.

In the meantime, I'm sending this Entry back to you, on the grounds that it is an opinion piece and does not match the Writing Guidelines sufficiently.

Not having any experience or knowledge of the subject, I was hoping to learn more about the US Postal Service, only to find that your entry is sadly 56 words that can only be described as a rant. Much of the rant could probably equally apply to many different organisations, businesses and government agencies, with only 'tacky blue counter-tops' seeming specifically US Postal Service related. (I also cannot see why a private sector postal service would be any different, not having been given any arguments for or against.)

If you wish to get an article on this topic into the Edited Guide, I suggest you read through the Writing Guidelines A53209 and perhaps a related topic A1082558 History of the Postal Service to see the sort of thing that Peer Review is after.

Alternatively, if you wish to pursue a more creative approach, then there are other areas of h2g2 which welcome different styles of writing. For instance, do you have any amusing personal stories about, say, the incompetence of the US Postal Service? I believe you have been directed towards the Alternative Writing Workshop, and it is enjoyable to read through <./>ThePost</.>, which is h2g2's weekly newspaper and contains a wide range of different articles and opinions on different topics. You may wish to see if you'd be interested in contributing articles for the Post, as they are always keen to welcome new writers.
