Recently there have been some changes to the locomotive fleet.

The National Trust donated Robert Stephenson Works No 2309 Haydock 0-6-0T to the Island
A constructors locomotive built in 1879, works number 2309, used in the building of railway lines, she is the same design as the first Freshwater, used in the construction of the Freshwater, Yarmouth and Newport Railway, (Freshwater was works number 2383)

Ajax has left - to be honest, she was an industrial engine, fine for shunting trucks but a bit too jerky for passenger haulage so never a top priority. She would be appreciated more at a small heritage line where anything steam is a star attraction.
