Overall it looks good, but I would like to point out a semi-major omission. Specifically, I think that the semi-indepent islands the world state uses for experiments and exiles should be mentioned. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of 'Brave New World" on hand, but I remember them being rather important.

Good point - I'll think of something to add along those lines, and hopefully update this article overnight (unless, of course, you would like to do the honour?)
It's great to see you back on h2g2, BeowulfShaffer. I hope you don't mind that I've rescued this article and are happy with the way that it's progressing. You're still credited as the article's co-author, so if you have any questions or comments, please, please, please feel free to say. I don't want you to feel that I've stolen this from you and you've lost all control over the article.

I recently read it and as I recall the three arrested for trying starting a riot were told they would be sent to an island, as it was one place that original thought was allowed. John the savage went instead to a lighthouse which was still in England. As a result the media was allowed to visit him there and record his activities.

I literally forgot that I had started this article so I'm pretty glad you took over. I haven't touched the book since before this article got flea marketed and I don't have a copy with me so you're going to be in a better position to add stuff than I am.

Also, I'm not sure if its worth including, but Sundiver by David Brin gets some mileage out of having the character discuss 'Brave New World' (its why I remembered the islands). Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of Sundiver with me either so I'm not sure that I could get the details right.

I've added a little along the lines that you've suggested. I must admit that I've not read any David Brin, and so if you'd like to write a replacement sentence or so I'll be more than happy to include it.
As far as I am concerned, you are the first author of this article, and so you retain the rights of authorship. If you don't like something I've included, or if I've excluded something you feel should be in the article, I would like you to say and I'll amend the article accordingly. If you say something I really disagree with, for instance if you said you wanted all the character descriptions to be deleted, I would try to dissuade you and argue against it, but if you have valid reasons I'm willing to respect your wishes. This article was started by you and wouldn't be here if you hadn't begun it – I've just tried to finish and polish it a little.
I know what it's like to feel that you've lost control of something you've written. I left h2g2 for a while, and when I was away something I'd written was rescued from Flea Market and re-written in a way I felt was unconnected with the spirit of what I had originally intended, and I'm still a little disappointed about that. I don't want that to happen here – so if you are upset about any part of the article, please, please, please let me know.
Now that you're back I want you to know that as far as I'm concerned you have the right to change anything about the article, up to and including, should you wish, requesting that this article be removed from Peer Review if you want to finish it off yourself without any of my additions.
It would mean a lot to me to know that this re-write has your approval and blessing before it progresses further.

I aprove of both you taking the article from the flea market and the vast majority of the articles content. I would slightly change the wording on David Brin section, but since I can't remember h2g2 customs about spoilers I can't say exactly how. 'Brave New World' explicitly inspires the characters' solution to one of them major conflicts in Sundiver in a way thats hard to explain without giving away part of the ending.

I've rephrased that bit as you've suggested. I don’t think we need to go into too much detail if to do so could be considered a spoiler, especially as this is a book review of 'A Brave New World' and not 'Sundiver', but agree that it is definitely a point that deserves inclusion.

don't let this slip through the cracks. It deserves a place in the approved guide.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
