Amazingly this is the first chance in about a month I've had to look at these! I've had a chance look at the last one and make some changes pre-emptively.

I'm on holidays at the moment and it's not easy to post long lists of corrections from my mobile phone. I'll try and look at the last one wham I get home.

I've done a quick scan through this and a few things struck me. I haven't yet done a detailed nitpick, so I will get back to this one.

Here's what I've spotted so far:

"He initially wished to cast talented Oscar-nominated actor Gérard Depardieu, but MGM/UA were not interested in making another film." -- you've joined to sentences together with "but", but they are not actually related. The Gerard Depardieu thing is independent of the MGM thing.

Luigi DeLaurentiis - needs a space after De

It was the last film that both Blake Edwards and composer Henry Mancini made - IMdB lists Victor/Victoria as after Son of the Pink Panther.

"Most notable is Bobby McFerrin's scatting arrangement of the Pink Panther theme, although the Gambrelli Theme pleasantly echoes the Clouseau Theme, with which it shares similarities." -- again, you've joined two unrelated sentences together, in this case using "although".

His reaction to Jacques Gambrelli remains fondly paternal, despite it reminding him of Clouseau. -- the "it" here suggests it is his reaction that reminds him of Clouseau. Surely it is Gambrelli who reminds him of Clouseau, so it should be "he reminds him of Clouseua". You'll have to reword slightly, as "despite him reminding him of Clouseau" sounds confusing.

The Animated Credit Sequence section needs some work. The second paragraph seems to repeat a lot of the first one. The description is confusing (the Gambrelli character sawing around Jacques Gambrelli's head) and there are places where articles "the" and "a" are left out (The Panther rushes to projector room).

Most things I think Tufty is able to answer (but if he has any questions, he can feel free to ask), yet here is a re-written version of the Animated Sequence section:


This is the only film in the series to begin with the opening credits. The opening credit sequence cost $1million and was directed by Geoffrey Edwards and animated by Desert Music Pictures. It is one of the best credit sequences in a Pink Panther film.

In it, the conductor on a cinema screen transforms into the Panther, who walks out of the screen and amongst a group of musicians in the cinema hall, headed by Bobby McFerrinFamous for composing and singing 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' in 1988 and for the music in Pixar's short film Knick Knack.. McFerrrin scats with the cat until Henry Mancini himself appears, giving his baton to the Panther. Taking the baton from Mancini, the Panther starts conducting the scatting musicians as the credits appear on the screen in front of him.

The animated Gambrelli character's shadow appears on the screen, and soon the film is burning. The Panther rushes to the projector room to save the film while Gambrelli ends up buried beneath the film spool. The Panther's tail is trapped in the projector, and he is shot through the projector and onto the screen, which turns pink. The musicians continue scatting, but the Panther has lost his baton. This is found by Gambrelli, who catapults Panther out of the screen and back into the real world. Gambrelli rushes by on his motor-assisted bicycle, leaving everything he passes in chaos. The Panther recovers the baton and uses it to cue the beginning of the film.

He is held in the same cell as the Princess before the kidnappers again attempt to kill him. They escape with the princess to the fictional country Darfur, Lugash's neighbour, by helicopter.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (a film inspired by Bedtime Story, which starred David Niven). -- this sentence is very long, so I think you could omit the piece in brackets about Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. You don't need to tell us everything you know about every other film.

In Lugash he falls down stairs of Omar's Oasis -- elsewhere we are told that Omar's Oasis is in Darfur, not Lugash. Also, it should be "down the stairs of".

Gambrelli falls down into the ceremony -- what ceremony? This is the first time you've mentioned a ceremony.

Jacques Gambrelli puts flowers in Dreyfus' feet -- does he stick them between his toes or piece the skin? Or did you mean that he puts them into the plaster casts on Dreyfus's feet?


his new daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Gambrelli -- did Dreyfus's son marry Jacqueline Gambrelli? Or did Dreyfus marry Maria Gambrelli? In that case, Jacqueline is his step-daughter, not his daughter-in-law.

This sentence is too long and should not in any case be split up using commas. Make it into separate sentences:
