I grow older, I grow wiser, and learn from my mistakes. I wish I had not made those mistakes in some cases, but in others I would not have learned otherwise except through making some of them.

There are people, who I have alienated away.

Others, who I considered friends when in actuality they were not. And so on, and so forth.

No, I lost a friend because when he and I were both drinking he admitted how low his opinion of me really was and well, I don't need friends like that. You know?
No, actually, I'm pretty sure I wasn't drinking, and he might not have been drunk. Just... beating myself up about the past some Lil.

Yes, I am staying up late past when I should.
I just, wish I'd read when I was rubbing those people the wrong way sooner on. Then maybe they'd still be here (and there) today, instead of away.

That one eats at me, sometimes keeps me up at night. Gnaws at me if you will.

He told me, in his opinion, that if he were me he'd have hung himself. And other dreadful things of that sort.

He was right about a few things though Lil. I am kind of too introverted. And do need to 'get a thicker skin' so to speak. I guess it was because for about a year or so we got along fine.
