I keep having S&M people trying to flirt with me when I'm online too long.

I'm not a sadist or a masochist but I finally realized that when they pick on you they're actually flirting. What the ?!

Oh, sometimes in online forums when I ask for advice... these people, they'll pretend to be my friend but then it'll turn out they want things I don't wish to give them, and now I've learned some and don't interact with them so much, not so willing to open up to any but occasionally they still "hit me up" anyway. Try to chat me up and so on.

I think maybe strangers can smell my loneliness and will prey on it sometimes...

They are preying on your naivety, sweetheart

Or, maybe they think you are playing a game with them?

Either way, I think maybe you are in adults sites that are not suitable for you.

I think it may be both.
On YouTube and once in awhile on dA.
For the most part the sites are fine it's just they get so big and decentralized that it gets to where there's a hard time weeding out all the good people form the bad... for the administrators and things. Youtube's overrun by racists. dA is usually okay but just now I think I ought to stay out of the asking for advice forums.

Too many people who just misuse them.

There must be some way of regulating the postings..

Either that, or leave the sites completely

True. If it gets bad enough I block those people but I just... wish I'd stop "smelling weak" enough, for that to happen.

Problem sorted. And now just to delete the evidence on my Hootoo trail in such a way that the few who know about my h2g2 page (those who pretended to be friends the longest) don't know one of theirs was about to have a small victory. It helps being on good terms with some of the site admins.
