Going mad:
Thorn Started conversation Mar 28, 2008
I think I may be going mad with loneliness and grief.
Over what?
Now that I'm not sure.
I am thinking of going to see a counselor about this but the prospect of lockdown for admitting to being unhappy is putting me off.
I'm not homicidal so they can just calm the down.
Institutions.
Bitten off more than I can chew for admitting that?
Maybe.
Was hesitant to post this.
You're supposed to be happy with being an anonymous cogwheel you know.
Not saying I'm not but I get so lonely that I'll hallucinate sometimes. When left by myself for long stretches of time at a time.
It's rather unfortunate.
Seem to have been prone to that a bit as of late.
Not hallucinating but just sort of spacing out a little and unable to focus much on anything.
On much of anything.

Get thee to a decent medical doctor, get some vitamin shots, change your diet.
Lay off coffee and too many soft drinks.
Go to bed at the same time every night, no matter how much you hate it.
If this isn't enough of a wake-up call, read this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Vonnegut
Get 'The Eden Express' and read it. It's by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr's son.
He was there.

Definitely! This isn't normal, Thorn. And when I had a similar "depressive" phase it seems to have been because of a lack of vitamins. So, sunshine, fresh air, exercise! Even if you don't feel like it! Fruit smoothies! Long walks! Don't draw the curtains! And and
to you.
(Sorry about the premod. I have no idea why.)

Premod?
Oh that.
Yes, I've added more fruit to my diet.
And am working on sleeping more.
That seems to have helped some.

Just kinda wish there was more people in my life kinda but I guess it's not in the cards at this point and stage.
+ lol.
Just getting through a pile of work now...
Sorry for creating any undue alarm.

Vitamins.
Megadoses of ALL B+C. These are water soluble, and will not hurt you.
(You know that, you're a premed student.)
(Not a premod student. We don't know what *that's* about.)

Also not suicidal.
I... just, there is so much routine.
Very little flexibilty in what is to be done when and at what time.
There is supposedly safety in such linearity and yet...

I am sorry. Will stop making jokes now...
Making jokes will cease...
Sorry, I'm at work, posting will continue to be irregular, based on customer demand.

I... see now.
Sorry, sense of humor was shut off at that particular moment.
Like when the young priest I've been having religious debate with for fun on a different site was making Dougie Houser allusions and I took him literally outside of context because I'd been reading too fast.
Went, something's odd about that. Where have I heard that before.
then "What, operate on your girlfriend? That must've been... Oh. Oops."
then I realized I'd been pranked.

Hopefully I'm useful enough to people they aren't all going to settle on the notion that I'm just another crackpot.
I've had nightmares about that sometimes. About losing all credibility.

Yeah.
Occasionally they have smell and taste 'information' in them too, instead of just images and 'sounds'.
*shrug*
Very strong imagination sometimes.
I developed checks to keep it from running loose which for the most part work except for very, very occasionally once in awhile when I get too far sleep deprived or skip a meal too many or what have you.
Oops.
Or when in sensory deprivation scenarios.
Which are rare but occasionally happen to people, yes?
