True this is fascinating. Even more fascinating when you find that we are continuing to be poisoned (all of us) with chlorine . . . let me explain . . . When chlorine is produced with a mercury cathode, one quarter to one third of the mercury is lost directly into the product. This fact came from The Encyclopedia of chemical Technology, 1978 "Alkali and Chlorine Products", page 811, under "Mercury Losses". Enjoy your ERETHISM and drink some wine sweetened with lead, just like the Romans.
