A point of order - British Hip-Hop is alive funky and has it's own sound. Here are my 'Listen To's:
Anything on Fat City/Grand Central Label - especially Rae & Christian and Aim - disticntive, epic and awsome as a live phenomenon.
DJ Andy Smith (Portishead Tour DJ) - taking it back to the (original) old school mixing up breaks and grooves.
DJ Pogo (see Andy Smith Above!)
