hm ... strange, but interesting This story could start like this:
It was a cold, dark night ... it was one of the last nights of the year 1999 - and - it was a night everyone would remember for a long, long time.
In this very special night a small, innocent feeling tree intended to leave his home-forest, where all his ancestors had grown up, to find a place where he could start a new life in a very different way, because ... life wasn't too diversified in his so called home-forest.

another beginning of this story could be:
Mr. Mace was a very deplorable, scatterbrained lumberjack - always dreamin' of the day the big, iron axe would return ... Nobody else had ever heard of this big iron axe ... and nobody knew, what would happen, when this day finally would come - but Mr. Mace did. At least: he claimed to do so - strange to say - he never told anyone more about this so-called 'Day Axe'.
All men and women - and even the children in school - considered Mr. Mace to be a weirdo - everybody was wrong ... but nobody recognized that before this so normal seeming sunday morning.
