Hi James
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by. Your support, and the support of the rest of the family, means a huge amount to those of us who've been working on the bid.
I'm feeling rather weepy now, all over again.
Thank you.

Hi, and thanks for the welcome.
And thank you for the tremendous effort you guys have put in to safeguard the future of h2g2, none of this would have happened without it

It's a cliche to say it, but it's been an honour and a privilege.
The team who've worked on the bid are lovely people and we've become very close knit over the past 5 months. It was my husband, Z who founded the google group on the day of the first announcement, and it's been a roller-coaster since then.
It's also been amazing to work with Robbie, to meet Richard Harris and to get a glimpse of The Digital Village.
We'll always be grateful to the BBC, but it feels like we're finally out of leader-reins.
Kind regards
Ben

Has it really been 5 months!!!!
Big respect for the BBC for everything they have done for the site, but you're right, high time you all had the chance to stretch your legs.
I have a lot to learn, not the easiest of places to get around, but I think that may be down to my penchance for the look of the new skin, over its functionality.

I'm a bit of a heretic, I love the way Barlesque looks (it's the new skin), it's good for browsing the content, and for seeing the latest posts. (Shame about it only shows 10 posts in a conversation, we've at least one conversation over 100,000 posts long!)
I tend to use Brunel - http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/U14915889 will take you to your user space, and it's got a handy "my conversations" pop out next to it. The conversation you landed in was discussing Alabaster http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/U14915889 which as you can see some people prefer.
If you post from Barlesque then apostrophes show as code in the others; it's a bit of a sneaky give-away that!
Thanks again for dropping by, I'm really made up about it.
