"Untold Irritation"

Today the Dreary Tegleraph published the 'top ten' phrases and sayings that cause untold irritation to Disgusted Tunbridge Wells (and Oxford University boffins):

Basically, at the end of the day it is literally, neither here nor there, whether, at this moment in time it matters. I personally think that on a 24/7 daily basis, up until now, the language has been going forward in a safe pair of hands, with Oxford University and the Daily Telegraph looking after it. With all due respect, it's a nightmare and I'm gutted - It's not rocket science and hardly surprising that the upcoming lists of absolutely awful words have only one fairly unique, common term - 'shouldn't of '.

Anyone have any more?

smiley - cheers

There are various threads on <./>Askh2g2</.> on that matter. Right now, I can't think of anything.

Nicely done, Pedantic. But it's the Daily Torygraph, shurely?

Correct but 'Tegleraph' was what I called it as a child - before I could read (not that I can do that, that well these days) and like many 'incorrect' things, it has remain firmly fixed - like pomes.

Oh - and another thing - after sixty years of being colour blind, I am not allowed to be - I now have to be 'colour impaired'. Plain English rules KO.

The piece is hilarioussmiley - laugh, so it hardly matters either way - except for the latest intrusion.
