h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

My first wail of despair was posted on the 21st of May.

It is now the 10th June 2005. That surely makes

10+10 days=20 days.

So why do my postings appear to have been written "2 weeks ago"?

I thank all the kind people who are trying to get me back into the body of the kirk - i.e. a member of hootoo.

It absolutely amazes me that pressing something which I obviously should not have pressed should have enabled me to become completely obliterated in the eyes of the BBC.

Actually - thought crashes into her non-technologicial brain - perhaps if I could remember what I pressed this would be a wonderful way of obliterating one's identity from all records.

Actually I simply do not accept that it is as easy as I have made out!!.

Anyway, hopefully, thanks to the combined efforts of LLWaz in Shropshire and Gnoman in Dublin, and Batty and Pandora across the pond I may sometime be reinstated. Ay my time of life I really do not want to have to keep fighting my way back into the fold.

Boy, this morning I received information about the insurance on my car etc. etc.. It was not only a revelation - it was mind-boggling. I am definitely going to write a piece on Ageism. Have I been discriminatd against? I fear I have - very badly. . It is one of the first times in my life that I really think I have had a really raw raw deal.I was asked whether I had taken my licence when I was 70. I let out a gasp and informed them that I had got my licence at 16 - if you take that away from 77, I think that it means that I have had my licence for 61 years. Then I was told that they were reinstating my no-claim bonus as my car was stationary - parked all by itself in the street, and I had had nothing to do with the accident - except find the bashed left rear light and the penetrating wound.

BTW, I saw a car with a boat attached to it turning into our street, and I suspect that that might have been the cause of the accident. It will be interesting to see if I am right. I have the little light from the wicked vehicle in my drawer next to my bed.

Ah well!. (heaves a sigh and pulls her shoulders back(weakly) and tries to put a smile on her face and a lilt in her voice and walk with a frim tread to face the.......bother what was it..........?

Oh goodness, this is all so boring. And the tennis is boring, the golf is boring, the rugby is boring, and sadly I am very very boring.

I am glad your license is straightened out.

I have found ( here anyway) you just automatically need to question all claims. That goes for health too. There are people sitting at screens that work for the company who does not want to pay anything and they are only the first ones that can say no.

They try to refuse what they can, then you need to fight what you can. Sad really, they preach protection but you need some from them usually! A case of ; cannot live with them or without them.

The posts thingee has been sort of weird for a lot of people so not sure about your issue with postings looking 2 weeks old.
I have had troubles with postings not appearing.
I might go to the h2g2 technical/feedback page if I cannot figure it out.

You will surely find out and be able to report the plate and names hopefully. I hope they follow through with doing the right thing.

If in doubt, call the police and explain so they will make a report.
Insurance companies like police reports Unfortunately it works best if you do all the work you can yourself. For your own safety ,do not try approaching the people yourself unless you know them.
