Thousands stranded by callous action at the worst possible time

Granted, this strike has been on the cards for a while, but I have no sympathy for the cause of these strikers who went ahead despite the chaos and additionall pressure on the rail network by the fogbound airports this week.

They have hurt innocent people just trying to get to their families at an extremely emotive time of year.

I'm sure there will be plenty of arguments in defence of this action, but I will find it hard to be convinced that it could not have been taken at a different time.
