End with some classic Hamlet ads..they really are that good.

(And christ what have we come to now? Not a single pub where you can even any longer light up.

They won't be happy until they've ground our civilisation finally, utterly, irretrievably, mercilessly into the dust...wsmiley - offtopics)

smoking's been `pretty much banished to the outdoors here for a few years now. It's quite smiley - laugh to see the cigarette clutching bar patrons huddling in a circle on the street in January in a blizzard (speaking as someone who never saw the attraction of smokingsmiley - erm)

What is a little uncomfortable, however, is seeing the hospital patients in wheelchairs, on crutches, or now an then on a gurney huddling (if one can huddle on a gurney) out in the snow in January.smiley - erm

I know what you are saying and I agree.

It's the mood I'm in and the symbolism of cretinous half-witted inoffensive..not that bright..but full of good works and happy clappyness that is on my mind...and what a wonderful antidote these glorious ads are to that mentality.

And I'm up for joining your London Plane tree smiley campaign smiley - ok

Deb

I do wonder if that second ad in the laundrette was the inspiration behind the Nick Kamen Levis ad years later.

And the one with the luminous condoms - smiley - rofl

I think the Wimbledon one is my favourite..4th in....also the photo booth one.

I can remember quite a few of them..and they are works of art.

I've a got a series Cinzano bianco ones with Joan Collins and the great Leonard Rossiter as well from YouTube.

Guiness ones as well are iconic.

But the Hamlet ones were always my favourite..it made you feel better about all the disasters in your life..and all it needed was a Hamlet to put it right smiley - snork I smoke roll ups..but occasionally small mild cigars as a treat.

But yeah you could be right about the laundrette Levi thing.

It's so sad how rubbish most ads are now. But probably most always were..but we remember the gems.

On the internet its a sea of dross. Wonder what we will get here? smiley - rofl

Seriously Deb drop round anytime to my space for a chat about all your stuff.

I have my problems here you may have noticed..but I'm always good for a chat about the really important things in life. Take care.
