BB King with Gary Moore. Best and most raw version. Says it better....

In other news fantastic October day here. Those golden yellow leaves are flying now.
The thrill is gone.

I enjoy the weather notes, BTW.
It's 9:14 am here, which means at this time of year that the sun is still low in the East. Most of the leaves have fallen but a few are still clinging to the lilacs out front and slow poke elm leaves fall singly at brief intervals. It rained in the night, so the air looks clean and bright. It's about 2 degrees above zero right now, a good, refreshing morning.
The thrill is gone.

17.06 here as I begin this post. Our clocks return to normal tonight though..GMT.
Yeah the light is dying as I speak..and there are far fewer leaves left on the trees than earlier..but still a load..(or bunch as the Yanks say).
Just looked up in my book of poems from primary school..a poem to do with autumn..that I won First Prize for..(yeah prizes and competitions work well for little kids )
Here it is:-
A mysterious feel in the air
A cloak of mist covers everywhere
Leaves all alone hang in the
trees,
But on the ground a sinking mire of them.
Soon everything will be in a deep sleep.
Smoke dwindles in the air.
Every minute the world seems
to get darker.
As night comes on.

17.13 now.

For the first time Twitter are actually bothering me..like Facebook do when I don't post for ages.
It said:-
'Did you know that Twitter generates personalized Who To Follow suggestions for you? Following the ones you like will help you stay informed on what matters the most to you today and discover what might matter to you tomorrow.'

Weird thing. I can still only access h2g2 now using Google Chrome on my Mac.
Not Safari which has always been my browser of choice..and geared to Macs originally; or Firefox for Macs.
Suddenly I find myself using Google Chrome a lot. I hate it and think it's designed very childishly..but it gets me here.

I've never felt comfortable in Chrome either.
Been gabbing with the builder doing my renos all morning. Art, alcohol, books, etc.
Not wasted time.
Art gallery later today.

I just looked up all the times in the world..as clocks are changing today.
GMT is now also known as 'Co-ordinated Universal Time'...Gota love political correctness.
But at least I can go a mile down the road and stand on the marked Meridian at Greenwich..with one foot in either hemisphrere.
THere are actually 3 meridians there if you go into the museum attached to the Observatory..they are historical failures though..that didn't survive.

(unfortunately an incredibly childish website..not worth taking a second glance at.)

Don't have a blog. I've thought about it but my days are so full I don't know where I'd find the time.
I do, however, think that they can be very good things in so many ways.
On the train with tunnels, etc.

Yeh I posted about my intentions on 'cancel'..the one I'm allowed to post on that won't be censored..or maybe ..Seriously that was the final straw for me.
Posting that Nighthoover might not be a bloke and having the post disappeared by someone hiding behind the scenes..who might have been my friend here even in the past..I can't stand the PETTINESS.

I can hardly believe how much I hate Google Chrome.
Mac Safari is so much less intrussive and not always suggesting and indicating what you want to do maybe..like the way Facebook and now Twitter today contact you making suggestions.
It's like when you go in some clothes shops..they are suddenly hitting on you.

I can't sleep. The pattern has gone haywire. But sometimes I wake up day or night..and Stripey is there on the bed..miaowwing for food. I bet she belongs to some gentrified type the moved to this street recently.
They'd have a fit

This is one of my all time favourite poems .

If I made a film I couldn't imagine doing the opening credits and intro any better than for the 'Third Man

Oh yeah along with Portugal and Ireland.
Didn't we just lend them £billions recently?
