The Virgin guy who came to fix my phone just spent 2/12 hours on it..its well after the end of his finish time on a friday night. I asked if there was a number to ring to speak to his boss about the brilliant job he did sorting out all the stuff that had caused the problem..he said no..just go to customer services..its so impersonal..
He was given the address of the wrong exchange by Virgin..but he tracked down the right one..and established that wires in a certain place had been pulled out..he came back..still not working..he then had to do something with cables under the street..there must be some way to access. Finally it is working again.
And he was so self effacing about it all. I gave him a few pats on the back..but wanted to kiss him
