About time for another poem..a cheery one. Something I wrote a few years ago. (There were a few aggressive ones I dismissed...because I want to get away from that now..unless its to do with sport )

Seem to have lost its title..

Like snails in garlic butter
Like driving fast - when get the chance.
Like waterfalls.
Like watching sport - specially when Arsenal win.
Like feeling sad.
Like watching goldfinches pecking at the sunflower seeds
In my overgrown garden.
Used to like reading -
Less now - newspapers now and then -
Well - just sundays really.
Like that moment jut before you eat -
When you feel starving.
Like a good film - complicated and long
With lots of under and overtones -
(Think that's the way want to put it.)
Like going to bed on a freezing cold night
With a boiling hot hottie.
Sometimes like staying in.
Feel guilty about that -
Turning down friendly invites to get out more.
But sometimes feel less robust
So likes keep chopping and changing a bit.
Like gardening -
Like not gardening.
Like watching tv.
Like sleeping -
Like staying up all night.
Like crying -
Like weeping.
Like flying on a long distance flight.
Like being silly.
Ohhhhh don't like growing older.
Hope always like giggling at a really funny joke.
Laughter - (if only round the corner)
Always comes back to greet me
Like a lifelong friend.
Like friends.
