I've made a few references to it of late in various places.

And for me its the most fundamental thing of all.

Because I'm not that well at present I can't do a journal entry that makes much analytical sense.

But personally I don't care about that stuff much at present..

It's enough to get through the day.

Really it's about love. You don't see that word written on h2g2 much.

I'm still awake, too.

But it's not even 9 pm yet.smiley - smiley

You stand in awfully good company with your (at present artistically unarticulatedsmiley - winkeye) devotion to the English Countryside. Wordsworth is obvious, of course, but I also seem to remember old Herbert George (wells) becoming absolutely distraught over what was happening to the place a little over a century ago (the opening of 'The Wife of Sir Isaac Harmon'? or was it 'The Passionate Friends?). And I almost forgot to mention that epic and hobbity celebrator of all things English Countryside, Tolkien.smiley - smiley

As someone very much devoted to his own local (and disappearing under sprawl) countryside . . . smiley - hug

You really should get some sleep.smiley - smiley

Well I've lived with it all my life since the age of 7. After we moved I would be listening to the BBC world service at this time. Years went by and I would only get around 3 hours sleep a night.

You have no idea of the intensity of this problem.

For some reason this h2g2 thing has unearthed it with the kind of passion that's quite scary.

But I think it's best I accept it rather than try to pretend it's not as strong as it is.

certainly as someone who has *never* had trouble sleeping, I can have no idea of what it's like for you.smiley - smiley

But I hope you won't get ill, which lack of sleep can certainly bring on.smiley - erm

But for me not being able to sleep is the norm. It's about feeling safe.

It's really to do with the anger I think.

I simply can't forgive them for what they stole from me.

I just went outside. It's a warm summer's day. There's loads more insects like bees on the flowers and even a skipper butterfly than I was expecting.

I can't remember when I last slept...but I suddenly feel I can now.

anhaga are you there?

I managed to sleep for a couple of hours and eat a bit.

But I feel quite depressed about my life on h2g2. Because I've been so unwell of late..h2g2 has been much more important to me. I can force myself to be vaguely rational on the computer and it helps to express things.

You have always been an excellent friend to me, and I really thank you and appreciate it. I won't forget it.

But other relationships here are very chaotic. I won't dwell on the negative ones.

But I seriously wonder if Taff will come back..and kea seems to ignore me since yesterday..even though I tried to be so supportive. Thank god 2legs communicates with me.

But I feel quite upset.

But just posting this to you helps.

The very best thing just happened. I went out into the garden and the new tennants from next door were sitting out there. They are students at Goldsmiths. Ollie who had a good long chat with is studying English. He seemed just so nice and rides a Vespa scooter. Then I briefly met his friend. Two women students will arrive soon. And ollie was very strong about wanting to be a good neighbour and not cause annoyance. He comes from a small village just outside Birmingham.

This is just so nice for me.

I can see I won't be making any new friends here. I've been too honest of late.

People hate it.

Maybe like me it means they can't sleep.

I really ought to learn to be more quiet and humble...women aren't supposed to be this way.
