Oh man oh man oh man I've got a top notch athletics ticket..the mens' 4X400 metres final..and a load of of other stuff going on that day.

I cannot believe how brilliant that is.

plus I've got boxing.

This is just too wonderful...

Woohoo! You absolutely deserve it! are you jumping around with excitement?

It's going to be amazing...Oh woow....oh wow...

Oh crikey it' going to be so incredible....

Oh crikey...it'll be more amazing...than I can imagine.

And I know most people here I'm friends with..as in real life...aren't great sports fans, (they weren't lucky enough to have my upbringing ), but most of you are pleased for me.

I can't believe how lucky I got with the athletics tickets.

It'll be stupendous.

I'm going to keep posting here until next year...I still can't believe it.

I think London 2012 might be the most amazing Olympics ever.

I remember at the end of the closing ceremony in Bejing..a London bus rumbled into the stadium and David Beckham kicked a football out there..

Every single event is going to be full.

People are going crazy over getting tickets.

I wouldn't sell mine for £millions.

I think these tickets have done something to my mind.

As you know, becuase we were talking about it the other day, I'm not much of a sports fan, but even I think that day long athletics thing looks a damn goo dmix... all the main relays plus the 1500 meters, adn the ceramony bits of the various events too, and some of the field stuff... ; I used ot like javalin throwing, as it was one I could actually do fairly well, a bit like shot put... everything else required too much bending bits of my body in directions they didn't want to go The boxing sounds good too, though its all far too butch for me though... sweaty men in a ring... actually I've changed my mind, that sounds pretty good too

Yeah it's all going to be completely mental I think. The tickets have sent me mental..all the weird system of getting them..and having to wait to find out..and then it came on the day after the h2g2 announcement..it's all been turned into a massive drama..so yeah that's getting the tickets..

So the actual thing they admit you too is just so *big* and it'll be really funny I think...Me at my first boxing event will be big. My dad is a boxing fanatic...as a kid he used to go completely mental when it was on tv. But he's quite old now but I haven't been around him recently when boxing is on.

It's the *theatre* and *drama* of sport for me. It's cathartic.

Thanks for posting here, cos I know you're not a fan. Not many people on h2g2 really are..

If I manage to keep sane for the events you can be sure I'll be posting all about it here.

Oh and another thing the BBC have now taken to playing that funny old fashioned music Wimbledon music again...maybe they read..

The most amazing time ever was when they played the whole long thing after this no-hoper Brit guy won a match. They had an aeriel view of him leaving and getting onto the back of an old motorbike driven by some other guy (maybe a 'friend' as they like to call same sex people watching )..and following him all through the streets of Wimbleon with a helicopter, I presume and playing that music...it was then I really fell in love with that tune...

It was one of those special things they do every now and then. Probably history won't record this marvel though.
