I have it on good advise - from Perthites and from my experience of living in Perth, that they have one of the easiest Driving Tests in the civilised world. This, i figure, would go someway to explain some of the annoyances of driving in Perth. At least the roads are nice and big - not like winding your way around some of the ancient cities of England.
Friends of mine here assure me that Perth drivers are the worst in the world. There have actually been articles on current affairs programmes showing this to be true!!

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted May 1, 2005
Perth is a place I'd love to visit one day.
I had a girlfriend a long time ago (in London) who's from Detroit. She said that because Detroit is the motor city they want everyone driving and buying cars as soon as they possibly can, so when you take your test they'll pretty much pass you just for being able to recognise your own car

That is so scary. I hate driving - apart from the environmental issues - i've managed to develop a healthy fear of other driver - none more so than here in Perth. I'll make a mental note not to hire a car if i'm ever in Detroit.
