about 5-6 years ago i was a fan of MKR(Magic Knights Rayearth) but i think my love for anime started with Princess MONONOKE.
that was something really really good.
and then Spirited Away came...so, now i vote for it.
(its fantasy then?)

Princess Mononoke used to be my fav. anime, but some friends of mine managed to ruin it for me. (don't ask)
Now I like a bunch of different ones.
But I hated Spirited away, and I found it far too long/boring.
BTW, yes, all the animes you mentioned are fantasy.

um..
i used to think that SA was the best, cause my brother, who hates animes, liked it too! so i thought that if even he likes it, it must be something good -then; everybody must like it?!
but of course there are no rules about preferences
still i think all the characters superb in that anime (i love Kamaji!)

I'm planning on seeing Hayao Miyazaki's new movie 'Howl's Moving Castle', are you? (in case you don't know, he made Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery Service, Castle in the Sky, etc. He's king of anime and will only allow 10% of each movie to be computer generated.)

yep i know him. i've been waiting for that anime for almost a year. (i'm also thinking bout reading the book)
and, maybe not an anime but Tim Burton's C.Bride is also seems interesting. if a good movie-anime's not from far east it's probably Burton's! ...
(have you watched Nightmare Before Christmas?)

TB's okay, i'm not crazy 'bout most of his stuff. Nightmare Before Christmas is my brothers favorite movie, so I've seen it a million times.

in that movie some parts are good for children, especially songs
(but as a 23 year-old adult(?) i also like the songs)
...Maybe T.Burton is a kind of habit for me, it started with Edward Scissorhands...For animes, i still think Miyazaki is the best.
