Got to the office this morning at 7.45am, and the first phonecall came at 7.55. Not a bad day on the whole - I've had a lot worse. Mind you, by about 10.30 I felt as if I'd already done a day's work, and was glad when my boss went out and got cookies for us from the cafeteria across the road.
Most of those who had narrowly missed their offer grades did as we had asked them and sent us the breakdown of their module marks, so we could see how near they were to the target. On consideration of the marks, a few squeaked in under the wire. Several are asking for re-marks, and may get them - if their grades are raised by 31 August, we will definitely accept them for 2011, any later and it is at our discretion.
Miserable wet and *cold* day - doesn't the weather know it's August? Off to the pub for dinner and I may just have sausage and mash, or some such comforting grub. Have got tickets for open air Shakespeare at King's College on Saturday, so hope it warms up a bit!

A full set of thermals furry boots and a sheepskin motor cycle helmet with flaps would be needed here. The company would also need a full lighting rig.
