Hospital visits

Seem to have spent an inordinate amount of time in the last couple of weeks cycling to hospital appointments and back. Should keep me fit! At least the route between Addenbrooke's and my workplace has long stretches which are downhill...
The visits are for the purpose of investigating some heart rhythm irregularities (paroxysmal arrhythmia) and have so far involved blood tests (at the GP surgery - all fine), chest X-ray, and 24-hour ECG. The latter was quite exciting, except for the sandpapering of my chest to make the heart monitor points stick on properly!
More blood tests on Monday. In the meantime, symptoms have practically disappeared, of course.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
