h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Like Polly Tunnel, spent today winding down from the meet yesterday (well, that's my excuse anyway).

dagesh asked for a list of those attending - there was one in the pre-meet thread in TB which was updated several times, should be around still, and as there were over 50 people there I don't think I'll reproduce it here. Also photos in the Lockin now.

I got the 10.15 train down yesterday morning with a friend who was also going to London (not to the meet). Train was full of footie supporters already drinking - and farting. Bit anti social in a crowded carriage, I felt.

Bus from Kings X to Blackfriars Bridge was very easy. Walked along the river in bright sunshine to the no-longer-wobbly (what a pity!) bridge and found a group of people already assembling. Lovely to meet lots of MLers I had already got to know at previous meets, and also a whole load of new ones. The school visit room at Tate Modern was great - just the right size, although I did wonder how many other people had been planning to have their lunch there, but took one look at our assorted bunch and fled screaming!

Went along to the pub for a quick drink before heading home, got back about 7.30, but was quite tired. Not sure why as I hadn't been doing much except standing/sitting and chatting and eating!

Today has been a bit of a non-day. Stayed in bed late, reading the book for Thursday's book group meeting (Saturday, by Ian McEwan); listened to TA and read the boards for a while; went out for Sunday lunch (roast port and crackling, yum!; did a bit of shopping for essentials on the way home as I hadn't done the supermarket shop yesterday; had a nap.

I've got the day off tomorrow, so will have to force myself to do some of the household chores. May also have a mooch round town - so much better to do this on a weekday when it isn't so crowded.

I haven't been following the threads about the meet in TB so have no idea which one you're referring to.

There are a couple of apres-meet threads going now: one is called 'Home again, home again', and one was started during the meet by Rosie on her Blackberry, and is called 'Meet the Taters'.
