Don't know whether it's something I ate, or a virus of some sort, but have been decidedly off-colour all day today. Threw up twice in the night (too much information - sorry!), so stayed in bed until 8.30, hoping that with a bit of extra sleep I'd feel well enough to go to work, but when I got up I felt really shaky and shivery and had a high temperature.
Have spent most of the day in bed, sleeping on and off, and reading The Robber Bride (my favourite Margaret Atwood).
It's particularly annoying as today was the last day I had a temp working for me in the office, and there wasn't really much work for her to do. I think my boss may have sent her home early.
I'm supposed to be meeting my sister tomorrow to do a bit of Christmas planning/shopping, but we've agreed that I'll give her a call in the morning when I see how I feel.

annie,
I hope it's only a 24 hour thing you're suffering from and that you feel tons better tomorrow.
Take care of yourself,
Polly

Oh, Annie - take care and get well soon...
Have a nice relaxing weekend. Books and newspapers and films. Music. Light food...
Hmmm... I've convinced myself - move over and I'll join you.

Pleased to report I feel loads better this morning, and am heading off to sister's shortly. We may do a little light shopping, but will probably spend more time having coffee, lunch, chatting etc.
