Is the traditional name for the week after exams finish in Cambridge, and we are now in it. Weather has been overcast and cool for most of today, which was a pity, because there was an undergraduate garden party in the College gardens today. Let's hope it brightens up a bit before Thursday when the grad students have their party - to which staff are also invited.
Today while cycling home from work I spotted the first couple of girls in ball dresses, obviously on their way to pre-May Ball social events. I expect I'll see more of them on their way home as I cycle to the office tomorrow morning.

Douglas is on record as having said that he will go to the 2006-2007 Law Ball and enough people havwe heard him do so to hold him to his promise.
