Went back to work today . There was a huge pile of mail (mainly GCSE certificates from next year's freshers, which will all have to be photocopied and returned to them in the next few days) and 200+ emails in my inbox. Luckily (or not, depending on your POV), about half of these were spam, so I just about had them down to manageable numbers by the end of the day.
Since it was a lovely sunny evening, I decided to cycle over to my boss's house and take her the cute little outfit I'd bought for her baby while I was in France. I wasn't sure if she was 'at home' to visitors yet - the birth was a bit premature and dramatic, and she was quite poorly for a bit, but the baby is 6 weeks old now, so I thought it might be OK to drop off a gift briefly. She came to the door with the baby and we had a short chat - everything seems to be going well, although she still looks a bit pale. The baby looks like all babies: red and wrinkled (sorry - I don't go all gooey over babies; I prefer them when they can talk).
