Overindulging at lunchtime

Went to our usual pub for Sunday roast lunch - was not sure if my friend would be there, as she is leaving for three weeks' work in Italy tomorrow (lucky so-and-so!). She turned up about 5 minutes after me, having just been to the station to check trains to Stansted tomorrow.
We were a bit later than usual, so there was a 20-25 minute wait for our food to be served, which naturally led to more wine than usual being drunk (two large glasses, rather than just the one). So although it is a nice sunny afternoon, I feel a nap on the sofa coming on ...
My friend, who is still in the world of EFL teaching which I used to belong to, suggested that I might join her at the international conference in Aberdeen next Easter holiday - I'm thinking about it.
