Went to see Hidden (Caché) this afternoon.

Well - what can I say? The acting was excellent, and like most contemporary French films, the interior scenes fascinated me, because the houses are just so ... French!

However the narrative was a bit slow at times, and I felt the ending was rather a cop-out. Met a couple of people I knew in the foyer afterwards and they agreed. There is one very shocking scene, but I don't want to tell you too much, in case you go and see it.

Thanks for your thoughts Annie. Must admit I'm always fascinated by the interiors too, and find most plots entirely forgettable beside the precise shade of grey-ish something used for left-hand wall of the salon, or the shape of the bathroom taps.

Thrilled also to have a mysterious and exotic-sounding header pop up on my discussions page! Will definitely look out for this - though alas not very near an official arty cinema. petal

ps How was Juliette Binoche's hair? Three Colours Blue is a real fave of mine, and someone somewhere once described it as 'best performance by an impossibly chic but sad hair-cut' or near offer.

Sorry to report that la Binoche's haircut was a fairly nondescript bob.
