Just got back from seeing Brokeback Mountain - excellent! Made me want to read the story again. Those two young actors should go far, and Jake Gyllenhaal is particularly decorative. Heath Ledger has turned out not badly too, from the skinny kid in 10 Things I Hate About You.
Fabulous scenery, and I kept thinking all the way through "This really reminds me of Canada", and then lo and behold, I see in the credits that it was made in Alberta. I've just googled the location and found an article which says that large parts of it were filmed in Kananaskis, where I spent several happy days last summer with my friends who live near Calgary.
By the way, message for petal jam: there was a trailer for 'Hidden' and it looks really scary, and a bit gory. But I may still go and see it ... for language practice if nothing else.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
