It's been another lovely sunny day here, though not as unseasonably warm as yesterday, and I was expecting a stunning sunset (I can watch it from the window behind my computer). However it seems to have clouded over in the west, so no lovely evening colours.
Nothing very exciting to report - it's that time of year when the Cambridge Application Forms start to pile up on my desk and we were pleased to note that by Friday we'd had a few more than last year's total haul - and with one day still to go to the deadline! I went into work for a couple of hours this afternoon to continue processing them, as they all have to be done by Thursday afternoon. Processing = checking that everything has been enclosed, emailing the applicant or the school if something is missing (all too frequent!) and then entering all the information on our massive database.
Before that my friend and I went for our usual Sunday roast at the pub. I've known her since I first came to live in Cambridge, when she was the Director of Studies at the language school where I worked, and later on I was her lodger for a couple of years. She's an occasional listener to TA and is coming to the meet - she's fascinated by the idea of meeting MBers, so I hope the conversation isn't *all* about the switch to DNA!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
