Terrible, terrible nauseatingly moralistic little man pontificating on the radio. I had to turn it off. Bloody awful he was. And Helga had the thick mindedness to refer to Wright as pontificating. These Evangelos are very good at love but when it comes to the critical faculties, well, sometimes I wonder.

It's five past two and I still can't find the desire for sleep. Oh well. Perhaps I'd better have a sleeping pill. Or perhaps not. I don't think it would be very wise. So what do I do then? I've run out of things to do. I suppose I could watch all those old Who episodes again. There's one I can't watch again. 6x01, The Asylum of the Daleks, the one where Jenna-Louise Coleman plays a girl who got half turned into a dalek. That was terrifying and tragic and horrible, I can't bear to think about it. These new Whos can get terribly emotional, I've found. I was in tears for about a third of the last two episodes I watched. Perhaps that makes me a girly. I have found that Sethu has resorted to bitchiness with me, because I don't seem to respond to her as she imagines a 45 year old White man ought to. I think she thinks I should be panting over her like some 20 year old. Thing is, she might be pretty, but she isn't very nice, and I like a girl with a sweet nature. Can't resist a girl with a sweet nature.

I have found that if I retain a rational integrity at all times, she has no ammunition at all she can use on me. The worst she could do was reheat some tired old demonic accusation that I'd dealt with years ago. Sad really. So comprehensively trounced by a mere man. Ha.

The essence of the strategy, I have found, is to ignore. Ignore, ignore, and ignore. They just get fed up and go away.

Of course she was enraged that I liked Nana and I think I basically ignored her on our night out because I don't find her very interesting. Whereas Nana interests me strangely.

I'm having appalling holes in my memory. I think it might have something to do with my medication. There are great gaps in my memory of today, great hulking holes in my mind, where the brain won't go, and I can't see anything. But I look on ML and I see posts that I made earlier on today, that I have a vague memory of posting several months ago. I think my memory is compromised. This could be serious. I might be in trouble. Although I notice my memory for Greek accents is sound, so there isn't that much to worry about.

I think I've more or less decided where I want to go for detox. There's a place up in Magalies which is my favourite part of the country, and I could take Nana up and have little holiday in the sun and come off H to the bargain. I couldn't drive though. We'd have to fly. Well that's possibly even cooler than driving. Fly and get the shuttle from ORT to Magalies I suppose. Just need the small suitcase and a bag for the lappie. Skinnies and T-shirts by this time of year I'd have thought, it's third week of October, probably be there November some time, which is lovely weather up there. I'll get onto them tomorrow. I'll tell John perhaps and get a bung for the deal. Then we don't have to worry about meals out and stuff. I can spoil Nana a bit. That'd be nice.

But at least one of them didn't catch it. She's still moundering around as a woman tied to the earth. Puir wee lassie.
