h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well I've had a reasonably busy day, it's been quite good. At home now, hunkered down for the night. It's COLD. Winter. Don't like it. Neither does Val upstairs. I gave her my cat litter and a bunch of cat food left over from when I had the cat. I realised you need 2 people to look after a cat properly, at least, I do.

I am reduced to wearing a cap, it's so cold.

Andrew's coming over just now. Got to go down and let him in cos my door opener thing's baggared.

It's 7 degrees out there. Not amused.

Now it's 5 degrees. Everyone is saying what a terribly cold winter we are having. I am distressed... I don't like the cold. I came all this way to get away from the cold. And now it's cold like in Blighty.

Now it's 3 degrees ... a new record, methinks. I've got both the gas heater on AND the fan heater on full blast. It makes it tolerably warm in here. It's been horrendous; I haven't enjoyed this cold snap.

Bought a beautiful new hat. I shall wear it to the do on Saturday at church.
