I kind of miss Helga in the mornings, but I also love the peace and quiet; and sometimes the music she played was pretty dire.
At other times it was quite good. But hard to find Jesus music without the taint of religion.
Religion isn't always purple and dark. It can be dirty yellow too with a sickly grin and the stench of suicide.
Well it's a busy day today and I may not get around to doing everything. Theoretically I am:
Taking Sethu to court
Seeing Mr Cohen
Seeing the chappie in the antique shop if he can mend my lamp (I'll pop in and ask before I take it because it's heavy to schlep)
Seeing Paul and picking up the audio gear - this necessitates a trip in Daisy to Cavendish
So really I can't face doing all this today. I may put some of it off until the morrow.
Oh, and I have to go to Pick 'n' Pay again some time. Yawn.
It's a sunny mornington.
Oh, thank goodness, I don't have to go with Sethu to court. I know it's mean of me, and dastardly, but I really can't face it right now. Not feeling well enough. She offered the possibility of my not going, so she mustn't complain if I took her literally. Phew. I'll have a nice cup of Instant. I'll have to go out for fags soon. I ought to buy three packets each time I go so I don't keep running out at inconvenient times. Or even better, buy a whole carton of them. I don't know where you can do that. I have done it before.

This also means I can wear what I want to wear and don't have to worry about wearing Sethu's idea of proper clothes. This is good because I've got a flimsy cotton number I bought in SKA yesterday which I feel like wearing today - I can do without the constriction of a belt. Not that a belt really constricts, because I wear my trousers at the hip rather than at the waist, so the belt goes around my hip bone.

Now the pressure's off I'm suddenly feeling tired out. I was forcing myself to jolly along. Ooh it would have been so unpleasant. Thank goodness. I'll have a nice cup of Instant. Still got to see Paul and Mr Cohen but I'll leave the lamp for another day, unless I happen to happen to the antique shop, which is unlikely. Just got to remember where Station Road is now. It's not far. I could even walk. That might even do me some good.

Life just goes on and on and on, doesn't it. One day after another. But soon it'll all be over. That'll be interesting. I hope it is a nice rest, like they say. I could do with a nice rest. Well it's what I seek isn't it, rest.

David's finding me someone to go and pray with about the worm. Thank goodness. The local believers don't seem to want to know. At least not the type of chap the modern church turns out. Perhaps David will find me someone kind and patient. That would be so nice. So rare, that. Kindness comes in little packages left for you on the table. Everyone's always in a hurry, always too busy.
