h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This is a one-off entry to mark the date when I first lit the gas fire this year. It may not be necessary on a continual basis for a wee while yet but this is the night I've had to light it. (I slept this evening and woke up at past 2am and have decided to stay up and think about working, maybe on the Piano Quartet, maybe on a Bible Study article.)

And off again after about an hour, but it took the slightest of chillettes off the roomingtonzone.

The other good thing as a result of my recent jiggery pokery is that I no longer have a wifi repeater in my den, so there's nothing to get dislodged from its power supply - in the past, whenever I tried to do anything to the absolute nest of wires under the table, the repeater got reset, causing a whole load of spiffing internet fun. The signal from the repeater isnt very strong but the printer still works on both the Ultrabook and the Music Machine. So it's all good, as they say in certain lesser-known mountainous regions of North-West Burma.
