I have just had to sign in to Mustardland and now it looks slightly different. That was pretty painless - the BBC had remembered my BBC iD from the time I signed up a week or so back.

It is nine o'clock. Time for tea. It is an extremely pretty morning.

Had and enjoyed the matutinal Indic beverage, steaming to perfection. I do enjoy my tea. I make it in a pint Starbucks mug with the word "Scotland" on the side and a tough old Scotsman playing the bagpipes, which AM got me when my old Starbucks mug got unhygienic. (The cleaning girls soon sorted that out so I've got 2 Starbucks pint mugs now, although I generally use the Scotland one.)

What I do is bung 2 teabags in the mug (one Eng Break, one Earl Grey) and when the water is boiling merrily away I pour it over the bags in the mug. I wait at least ten minutes, sometimes more, but if I wait too long the tea has to be reheated in the microwave before putting the milk in. No sugar in tea.

Well it sometimes happens that I forget when I have made a cup of tea. At the moment, when I forget, I use a tea thermometer to gauge how ready the tea is, how far gone it is, whether I need to reheat it or whether it is slurping temperature or too cold or too hot or whatever. And I enjoy using the thermometer - sometimes it's the only way to test your tea. But I have asked Father Christmas to bring me a special present to help me make my tea even more efficiently. I actually sent an email to [email protected]. It didn't bounce, so I'm assuming he got it OK. If he brings it, (and from what I remember about Father Christmas, this depends on whether I've been good this year) I will tell you all about it on here on Christmas Day when I make my morning cuppa!

It is so beautiful, the view I have of the sky from where I sit. Beautiful blue Scottish sky. It goes some way to console me over missing SA. We have had some lovely mornings recently.

Testing, testing.......

Hello Daggers

Feel free to ignore me. I'm just trying to see if I can still post in hootoo.

ML has messed me about, given me a new posting number and put me in pre-mod. Hootoo, however, will have no truck with it, refuses to accept my new details but, as far as I can see, is still operating on my old identity.

So - I thought I'd see what happens.

Anyway - thank you for the use of your space (assuming this ever appears.....) and - um - well - seasonal greetings.............

Portia

Time for a delicious cup of hot, steaming beverage.

Meanwhile I have ordered a pizza from Dominos.

Hootoo and ML seem to be on different sign on systems at the moment. My hootoo user name is still the same as it used to be in ML. If I click on a link in my hootoo Personal Space to a ML page, it sends me there, but not as signed in.

Well the day is truly at an end. I am going to have a drink (I have Barr's Lemonade) and hit the sack. I've got to wait in for a delivery tomorrow morning.
