Just received a lovely compliment from martine in ML. Its warming and squidgifying effects are lasting me I hope until bedtime, rather like rich chocolate or a slug of fine cognac. Mustardland can be such an affirmative place.

I hope it remains such a nice place after The Change. WL explained the use of the Blobs in hootoo this evening, but I couldn't really get the hang of them. They are meant to allow you to follow a conversation as if it were indented like thread order in ML, but it is all rather too abstract for my poor brain to handle (and we know how i turned out in Moo's brain test, don't we). Maybe we won't get the Blobs in New Mustardland?

I had four cans of John Smiths tonight. It seems I'm drinking every night now. Oh what the hell. It's only in moderation, not as if I'm getting drunk and throwing things. I shall be in South Africa in a few months' time and then I'll be out of my present routine rather sharply. In the meantime, in my last few months in Blighty, I want to do exactly as I please.

Reminder to self - go to the chemist and get your prescription dispensed. You're running out of pills.

Well this time next week Cromford will be all over and done with and I'll be looking ahead to Edinburgh in May. It will be very nice to see Max again, and of course there's the drama of Sunday morning at Charlotte Chapel. Oh my... best not to let the God-talk through into this journal, I think. It'll only upset the natives.

Only another week and the Hebrew starts up again. We're reading the Akedah - Genesis 22. Last time (before the palaver of the exam) we really got the vibe of the text in class. It got really sombre. Pity about Brenda. Still, it'll be light and I won't have to wait around in the dark at that bloody station Any More! Thank God for that.
