Just a brief line from a wet and windy Saturday on the South Coast of Britain. The heavens have opened which means that I do not have to worship the God of Lawnmowing-one of those chores that defines where we are in the grand scheme of things.
My greatest concern is that I might be run down by a bus and all that they can say about me is that he mowed the lawn beautifully! However i do have the paintbox for some spiritual solace and I hope to have put together enough work to justify the vague idea I have of being some kind of artist. Judging by the last lesson at college, have more chance of being remembered as Picasso than I do as Mr Chips.
I have also abandonned hope of writing for pleasure and for profit although the detritus of this particular conceit still litters my website. Since joining the happy band of H2G2ers, I have written some thoughts on relativity and also spent some time doing a hatchet job on golf, which is always a pleasure.
I am currently working on a series of pop art inspired pictures to try to move away from the rather strict classical style of architectural subject. I do love black and white as a medium, despite the occasional foray into colour.
Finally I hope that all of your endeavours are proving fruitful and i would welcome any comments, for better or for worse that you would like to leave on my space.
I hope to hear from you soon. GC
