Misconceptions

Hello T H,
I find your article quite interesting. May I, however, give you one or two tips?
Your opening line would read better as: 'Recently I was discussing misconceptions with a friend.'
It would be better to 'reverse' the capitals, thus; 'cricket...Sunday'. If you are honouring the Scots with capital letters, please do the same for the underrated English nation. With the possible exception of Rugby football (because it is named after the school and its hometown) the other sports need only be in lower case.
('englishmen'??) '....certain country's history'
We all make mistakes, including me; maybe especially me! But it is always good to look at your writing as though through another person's eyes. You obviously aspire to be a writer, and you may succeed beyond your expectations if you become your own reviewer and self-critical.
